Three postponements. Two venues across two countries. One epic wedding weekend that finally came together.
After multiple reschedules and the tumultuous year of uncertainty, Maria and Levi finally got their dream wedding, though it looked much different than what they imagined when they originally got engaged more than two years prior. And this epic destination wedding weekend came together in only four months’ time.
Due to covid, Maria + Levi had been forced to postpone their date three times, and after the third date fell through with their original venue, the couple decided to change everything and move their wedding to the first place they ever vacationed together, Harbour Island Bahamas. This was such a special day celebrating Christin and Mike. We had a dream team of talented vendors working behind the scenes to ensure no detail was left untouched for their Swan House wedding. Christin wore a custom Heidi Elnora Atelier gown that complemented the scene effortlessly. Cascading florals lined the fountain leading down the staircase to their intimate ceremony, where pews were set for guests.
When searching for a venue for a chic, timeless wedding, there’s truly no place like the historic Swan House. The 1928 mansion is nestled in hills of the beautiful Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. It’s made an appearance in a few films and become most well known for it’s debut in the movie The Hunger Games. It also served as the finish line for the 19th season of The Amazing Race. It features a stunning, cascading fountain on the staircase leading up to the grand estate. Hidden away just passed the top of the stairs are lush gardens that are especially spectacular in May–the perfect backdrop for an elevated garden party.
As a destination wedding photographer, I’ve seen some beautiful venues, but this one will forever be a favorite of mine. I hope you enjoy browsing more from this classic garden wedding. I’m looking forward to working here again soon.

Sharing a beautiful Rosemary Beach engagement session with you today. I enjoyed documenting this exciting time for Alexandra and David while they were visiting 30A Florida. This session was never short on laughter and sweet moments as we explored the streets of Rosemary. Golden hour on the beach with these two was one of my favorites to date. Congratulations to the happy couple!
Spring is my favorite time of year for sessions, and Railroad Park was showing off for us on this beautiful afternoon. We found the perfect spot that overlooks the city for their second look, and golden hour on the hillside was magical. The roses were in bloom, and I’m still dreaming of how fragrant they were. What a perfect backdrop to document their love.
This romantic Lake Como inspired wedding truly left no detail untouched. From the elegant stationary suite to the cake forks for the bride and groom, each aspect of the day was truly special.
The steps of the venue were lined with rose and anemone centered floral arrangements and accentuated by gold candlesticks topped with blush pink tapers. This created the most luxurious backdrop for vows, but still allowed the Italian architecture to shine.
It was such an honor to be a part of this incredible couple’s wedding day in beautiful Birmingham, Alabama–the city where they met and fell in love. It’s been wonderful getting to know Gina & Spencer during such a special chapter in their lives. The couple’s families and friends traveled from near and far to witness them take their vows and celebrate together. We began Gina & Spencer’s day at the historic Redmont Hotel. The Redmont made such a gorgeous backdrop as the wedding party spent the morning here getting ready. One of my favorite moments from the morning was the first look between Gina & her parents with her sisters looking on. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. The Roof at the Redmont was the perfect space for Spencer and his groomsmen to relax before heading over to The Cathedral of St Paul for the ceremony.
Gina &Spencer’s reception took place at the beautiful in downtown Birmingham. Hearing their families give such heartfelt and beautiful speeches during the toasts brought tears to my eyes. These two met in med school at UAB, and Spencer’s brother toasted “you’ve been our role model, our confidant, our doctor, our best friend, and I’m so happy that you’ve found your role model, your confidant, your doctor, and your best friend.” When Gina’s sister spoke, she mentioned that throughout their lives Gina was their North Star, always leading them back home. In just the small amount of time I’ve known them, I can tell that these are just the kind of people they are, always caring for others. I know that she and Spencer will be that for each other throughout everything life sends their way, each other’s North stars. Looking for a Birmingham Wedding Photographer? I’d love to chat with you.
