It was such an honor to be a part of this incredible couple’s wedding day in beautiful Birmingham, Alabama–the city where they met and fell in love. It’s been wonderful getting to know Gina & Spencer during such a special chapter in their lives.
The couple’s families and friends traveled from near and far to witness them take their vows and celebrate together. We began Gina & Spencer’s day at the historic Redmont Hotel. The Redmont made such a gorgeous backdrop as the wedding party spent the morning here getting ready. One of my favorite moments from the morning was the first look between Gina & her parents with her sisters looking on. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. The Roof at the Redmont was the perfect space for Spencer and his groomsmen to relax before heading over to The Cathedral of St Paul for the ceremony.
Gina & Spencer’s reception took place at the beautiful B&A Warehouse in downtown Birmingham. Hearing their families give such heartfelt and beautiful speeches during the toasts brought tears to my eyes. These two met in med school at UAB, and Spencer’s brother toasted “you’ve been our role model, our confidant, our doctor, our best friend, and I’m so happy that you’ve found your role model, your confidant, your doctor, and your best friend.” When Gina’s sister spoke, she mentioned that throughout their lives Gina was their North Star, always leading them back home.
In just the small amount of time I’ve known them, I can tell that these are just the kind of people they are, always caring for others. I know that she and Spencer will be that for each other throughout everything life sends their way, each other’s North stars.

Gina and Spencer, thank you for making me feel like family on your wedding day. You are both so warm, kind, and humble. I remember when we talked about planning your wedding weekend, you mentioned how excited you were to introduce your families and friends to the city that brought you together, where you fell in love. Always thinking of others, even on your day.
You two have hearts of gold and it was my honor to capture a little piece of your journey. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two. ❤️
